"Instant" describes the decision, not the payout. A registered credit provider can assess an application in minutes because the checks are automated: identity, credit bureau data and an affordability calculation against your stated income.
What happens in those minutes
- Your ID number is verified and checked against the provider's existing customers.
- Credit bureau data is pulled — this is where prior defaults and recent applications show up.
- Affordability is calculated from your income and existing commitments, as the National Credit Act requires.
- A decision is returned, usually with the amount and term the provider is willing to offer.
Why an application takes longer than expected
Almost always because something did not verify: a mistyped ID number, a phone number that is not yours, or an income figure that does not match what arrives in the account. Accuracy is the fastest route.
