A cookie is a small file a website stores in your browser. Some are necessary for a site to work at all; others tell the operator how the site is being used. This page explains which ones finpandas.com/za uses and how to control them.
What we use
| Type | What it does | Can you turn it off? |
|---|---|---|
| Strictly necessary | Keeps your session working, remembers your cookie choice, and protects the application form from automated abuse. | No — the site cannot function without these. |
| Preferences | Remembers what you entered on the repayment illustration so the application form starts where you left off. Stored in your own browser, never sent to us on its own. | Yes. |
| Analytics | Tells us which pages people use and where they drop out, so we can fix what is not working. | Yes. |
| Marketing and measurement | Records which advertising campaign brought you here, so we can measure what our advertising achieves. These may be set by advertising platforms we use. | Yes. |
Campaign identifiers
When you arrive from an advert, the link often carries identifiers such as utm_source, gclid or fbclid. We store these for the duration of your visit and attach them to your application so that we can attribute it to the right campaign. They tell us where you came from — not who you are.
Managing cookies
You can accept or limit non-essential cookies using the notice shown when you first visit. You can also clear or block cookies entirely in your browser settings — every major browser has a privacy or site-data section for this. Blocking all cookies will break parts of the site, including the application form.
